Metallica, U2, Green Day could tour – if they remember the details

LONDON (AP) — Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich says he agreed to a tour that would also involve U2 and Green Day. However, he doesn’t exactly remember the details.

Ulrich tells the British version of MTV News U2 were in San Francisco two summers ago and they went out for dinner with Metallica and Green Day.

He says they “ended up having a lot to drink.” Ulrich says, “I was told in the wee morning hours following this outing that members of U2, Green Day and Metallica agreed to tour together.”

Ulrich says they haven’t talked about it since, but he’d be up for it.
